Overview
On your visit to Miami, make sure to visit the Institute of Contemporary Art, situated in Miami’s Design District. Open since 2017, this modern and welcoming space provides a forum to admire contemporary art, discover new artists and learn about Miami’s art scene. On your self-guided visit, you can explore the institute’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. The permanent collection features works from contemporary artists such as Claudia Andujar, Tau Lewis and Lyle Ashton Harris. The ICA Miami is fully accessible to people with disabilities, including wheelchair users. There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance operated by buttons and all 3 floors of the institute are accessible via an elevator. Accessible bathrooms can also be found on each floor. In addition, several accommodations have been made for people with other kinds of impairments. Sensory-friendly kits can be provided for visitors with autism and visually impaired people can make use of the free audio guides and large print guides. Upon reservation at least 2 weeks in advance, guided tours of the museum in American Sign Language can also be provided free of charge.

Admission is free of charge, but it is highly recommended to reserve your time slot in advance. Visits are limited to 60 minutes, starting from the time noted on your ticket. Please arrive on time as your ticket will not be valid for admission more than 30 minutes after your scheduled arrival time.
The ICA is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 PM to 6 PM. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday. A specific visiting hour for seniors and individuals who are more vulnerable to contracting COVID-19 is reserved from 11 AM to 12 PM from Wednesday to Sunday.
Tours are available if requested in advance and normally last from 45 to 60 minutes. Tours designed for visitors with intellectual, developmental or other kinds of disabilities are available if reserved in advanced and are free of charge.
The ICA Miami does not have an onsite parking garage but parking can be found on 41st St between NE 1st and N Miami Avenue, directly across from ICA. Valet parking is also available throughout the neighborhood for an extra charge.
Children of all ages are welcome, but children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Strollers may not be permitted in certain galleries but can be left by the front desk free of charge.
This is a self-guided visit. Assistance will be available at the front desk but the visit will be unaccompanied.

Visitors can take photos for personal use, but please note that flash photography, as well as tripods and camera extensions are not allowed.
